Ring Size Guide

Find Your Perfect Fit: The Ring Sizing Guide

Finding the right ring size is essential for comfort and ensuring your cherished Dfine Jewelry Store ring sits beautifully on your finger. This comprehensive guide provides you with several methods to determine your accurate ring size. Please follow these instructions carefully to find your perfect fit.

Method 1: Use Ring Sizer

For the Most Accurate Measurement: Consider Using a Ring Sizer. While our string and paper method can provide a good estimate, a physical ring sizer tool offers the highest level of accuracy. These inexpensive tools are readily available online or at most jewelry stores and provide precise measurements for a comfortable and secure fit.

Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring

This is a simple and often accurate method if you already own a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
  1. Select the Right Ring: Choose a ring that fits the finger you want to wear the new ring on.
  2. Measure the Inside Diameter: Using a ruler or measuring tape, carefully measure the inside diameter of the ring in millimeters (mm). This is the measurement across the widest part of the inside of the ring, from one inside edge to the opposite inside edge. Do not measure the thickness of the ring itself.
  3. Refer to Our Ring Size Chart: Once you have the inside diameter in millimeters, compare it to our Ring Size Chart below to find your corresponding ring size.

Method 3: Measure Your Finger with String or Paper

If you don't have an existing ring to measure, you can use a piece of string or a thin strip of paper.
  1. Prepare Your Material: Take a non-stretchy piece of string or a strip of paper (about 5mm wide).
  2. Wrap Around Your Finger: Wrap the string or paper around the base of the finger you want to wear the ring on. Ensure it's snug but not too tight. It should be able to slide over your knuckle with slight resistance.
  3. Mark the Overlap: Use a pen or fine-tip marker to mark the point where the string or paper overlaps to form a complete circle.
  4. Measure the Length: Lay the string or paper flat and measure the distance in millimeters (mm) from the starting end to the mark you made. This measurement represents the inside circumference of the ring.
  5. Refer to Our Ring Size Chart: Compare your circumference measurement to the "Inside Circumference (mm - Approximate)" column in our Ring Size Chart above to find your corresponding ring size. If your measurement falls between two sizes, we recommend choosing the slightly larger size for comfort.

Important Considerations:

  • Time of Day and Temperature: Your finger size can fluctuate depending on the time of day and temperature. It's generally best to measure your finger at the end of the day when it's likely to be at its largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are very cold, as they may be smaller.
  • Knuckle Size: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size that will slide over your knuckle comfortably but not be too loose at the base.
  • Ring Width: Wider bands tend to feel tighter than narrower bands. If you are planning to purchase a wide band, you might consider going up half a size for a more comfortable fit.
  • Accuracy: For the most accurate measurement, we recommend using a ring sizer tool, which can often be found at local jewelry stores.
